English Coaching in Lahore for Matric and FSc Students
English coaching in Lahore for Matric and FSc BISE Lahore students. Grammar, essays, letters, comprehension and past papers at CBS Academy.
What English coaching at CBS Academy covers
English is a compulsory subject, and it is also the subject where many science students lose marks that they could have saved with regular writing practice. At CBS Academy in Lahore, English coaching for BISE Lahore students is taught with reading, grammar and writing together: students read the lesson, learn the vocabulary and grammar in it, and then write answers, essays and letters in class. That matters because BISE Lahore papers test comprehension, grammar, translation, essay writing and letter writing — a student who only reads the book without writing will struggle in the exam.
What you will learn in English
Matric (9th–10th)
For Matric students in 9th and 10th class, the course covers the full BISE Lahore syllabus. In 9th class this includes textbook lessons with comprehension and vocabulary, grammar including tenses, active and passive voice, direct and indirect speech, punctuation and sentence correction, translation from Urdu to English, essay writing, letter and application writing and story writing. In 10th class it includes further textbook lessons, grammar revision, translation, essay writing, letter and application writing, precis writing and story writing. Each lesson is taught with its difficult words, summary and important questions, plus past-paper questions.
FSc (1st–2nd year)
For FSc students in 1st and 2nd year, the course covers compulsory English under the BISE Lahore syllabus, including textbook lessons and plays, grammar, comprehension, essay writing, letter and application writing and translation. First- and second-year English need careful work on grammar and writing, because the board paper tests both accuracy and expression. Students are taught the standard format for essays, letters and applications, and the key vocabulary for each lesson, so they can write confidently in the exam.
How CBS Academy teaches English
- Reading and vocabulary — The teacher explains the lesson in simple words first, with difficult words and their meanings written down. Then the summary and important questions are discussed, so students understand the lesson before they try to answer questions about it.
- Grammar rules — Students practise grammar and writing in class, learning the rule, then the example, then the exercise — so grammar becomes a skill they can use, not a list of rules memorised without understanding them.
- Writing practice — Writing is practised every week, not only before the exam. Essays are taught with an outline first — introduction, main points, conclusion — so students learn how to plan before they write. Letters and applications are taught with the correct format, because format marks are easy marks that many students lose. Translation is taught with vocabulary and sentence structure together. Common mistakes — tense errors, subject-verb agreement and spelling — are pointed out in class and tested again.
- Past-paper revision — Past-paper questions are used chapter by chapter and again in full revision before the board exam.
The pairing scheme shows which parts carry more weight — see the 10th Class Pairing Scheme 2026 and the 11th Class Pairing Scheme 2026.
Test system and exam preparation
English without regular testing does not work, because a student can understand a lesson in class and still make grammar and spelling mistakes under exam pressure. CBS Academy runs chapter tests after each chapter, and longer tests after each section of the syllabus.
Before the board exam, students sit full-syllabus tests in the board paper pattern, with the same time limit and question style. Papers are checked and returned with mistakes marked, so each student can see whether the problem was a grammar, vocabulary, format or presentation error. Parents can ask about test results and attendance through the academy. For the confirmed 9th class passing position, see the 9th Class Passing Marks 2026 guide, and for exam dates see the 10th Class Date Sheet 2026 BISE Lahore.

Frequently asked questions about English coaching
Is this English coaching for Matric or for FSc?
Both. CBS Academy teaches English for 9th and 10th class (Matric) and compulsory English for 1st and 2nd year (FSc) under the BISE Lahore syllabus. Batches are separate by class.
I am weak at English grammar. Can I still join?
Yes. Grammar is taught from the basics of each topic, with examples and exercises in class. Most students improve quickly once they practise grammar regularly instead of only reading the rules.
Are essays and letters practised in class?
Yes. Essays, letters, applications and stories are practised with outlines and formats, and checked with corrections, so students learn structure as well as language.
Are past papers included in the course?
Yes. Past-paper questions are used chapter by chapter and again in full revision before the board exam.
