Urdu Coaching in Lahore for Matric and FSc Students
Urdu coaching in Lahore for Matric and FSc BISE Lahore students. Grammar, essays, letters, poetry and prose with past papers at CBS Academy.
What Urdu coaching at CBS Academy covers
Urdu is a compulsory subject, and it is also a subject where students can score high marks if they prepare it properly. Many students leave it until the end because they speak Urdu at home, then lose marks on grammar, essay writing and the precise wording of short answers. At CBS Academy in Lahore, Urdu coaching for BISE Lahore students is taught with reading, grammar and writing together: students read the lesson, learn the difficult words and grammar in it, and then write answers, essays and letters in class.
What you will learn in Urdu
Matric (9th–10th)
For Matric students in 9th and 10th class, the course covers the full BISE Lahore syllabus. In 9th class this includes prose lessons with summaries and short questions, poetry with explanation and central idea, grammar including sentence correction, punctuation, synonyms and antonyms, essay writing, letter and application writing and story writing. In 10th class it includes further prose and poetry, grammar revision, essay writing on important topics, letter and application writing and precis writing. Each lesson is taught with its difficult words, summary and important questions, plus past-paper questions.
FSc (1st–2nd year)
For FSc students in 1st and 2nd year, the course covers compulsory Urdu under the BISE Lahore syllabus, including prose, poetry, grammar, essay writing, letter and application writing and comprehension. First- and second-year Urdu need careful work on poetry explanation and on writing, because the board paper tests both understanding and expression. Students are taught the standard format for essays, letters and applications, and the key points for each lesson, so they can write confidently in the exam.
How CBS Academy teaches Urdu
- Reading and meaning — The teacher explains the lesson in simple words first, with difficult words and their meanings written down. Then the summary and important questions are discussed, so students understand the lesson before they try to answer questions about it.
- Grammar rules — Students practise grammar and writing in class, learning the rule, then the example, then the exercise — so grammar becomes a skill they can use, not a list of rules memorised without understanding them.
- Writing practice — Writing is practised every week, not only before the exam. Essays are taught with an outline first — introduction, main points, conclusion — so students learn how to plan before they write. Letters and applications are taught with the correct format, because format marks are easy marks that many students lose. Poetry is taught with word meanings, explanation and central idea together, so students can answer both short and long questions about a poem. Common mistakes — spelling, grammar, incomplete answers and missing format — are pointed out in class and tested again.
- Past-paper revision — Past-paper questions are used chapter by chapter and again in full revision before the board exam.
The pairing scheme shows which parts carry more weight — see the 10th Class Pairing Scheme 2026 and the 11th Class Pairing Scheme 2026.
Test system and exam preparation
Urdu without regular testing does not work, because a student can understand a lesson in class and still make spelling and grammar mistakes under exam pressure. CBS Academy runs chapter tests after each chapter, and longer tests after each section of the syllabus.
Before the board exam, students sit full-syllabus tests in the board paper pattern, with the same time limit and question style. Papers are checked and returned with mistakes marked, so each student can see whether the problem was a grammar, spelling, format or presentation error. Parents can ask about test results and attendance through the academy. For the confirmed 9th class passing position, see the 9th Class Passing Marks 2026 guide, and for exam dates see the 10th Class Date Sheet 2026 BISE Lahore.

Frequently asked questions about Urdu coaching
Is this Urdu coaching for Matric or for FSc?
Both. CBS Academy teaches Urdu for 9th and 10th class (Matric) and compulsory Urdu for 1st and 2nd year (FSc) under the BISE Lahore syllabus. Batches are separate by class.
I speak Urdu at home. Do I still need coaching?
Yes, if you want high marks. Speaking Urdu is not the same as writing it correctly in the board pattern. Grammar, essay format, letter format and poetry explanation all need practice.
Are poetry and prose both covered?
Yes. Prose lessons are taught with summaries and short questions, and poetry is taught with word meanings, explanation and central idea, with past-paper practice for both.
Are past papers included in the course?
Yes. Past-paper questions are used chapter by chapter and again in full revision before the board exam.
